Silica Magnetic beads are superparamagnetic particles with nominal size of 1 micron in diameter, surface coated with silicon dioxide (SiO2) layer. The Silica magnetic beads are commonly used for extraction and purification of DNA/RNA for research and clinical applications. They are the most important component in most RNA extraction kits. The beads surface can also be readily modified to attach different functional groups for further applications.
